Thanks, Thomas.   Wish the records were earlier than 1828, but grateful for what we can find.    Also, thanks for the helpful info. on Ballylooby.  It was hard sorting out what might be Whitechurch or Tubbrid.  Should I assume Kilcoran is very near or adjacent to Ballylooby?  I had located the 1829 baptism you were kind enough to attach and this pretty much convinced me this was their actual townland.  As I recall a child may be born in a particular parish, but the parents' actual residence could be different.  

Some Calif. Barrons appeared in a 1880s book stating they were from Clonmel.

Hi Tom, Thanks again for being so helpful.  Just curious about any pre-1828 records....several of the Barron children incoluding my gr=gr=grandmother were born earlier, from about 1812 and later.  Assuming they were in Ballylooby or close by.  Would there be any parish records?  Also, going back to referencing a circa 1880 local  Calif. history book about the Barrons from Clonmel....perhaps.this particular Barron simply mentioned Clonmel since it was larger or better known, rather than  stating a small townland?  The 1828 baptismal record we located in Ballylooby  - t is possible some of them moved from Clonmel area...to Ballylooby later and this child was born there?  Sorry wish I had a feel for geographic areas which I know changed.

I just joined this website and saw your post about Edmund Barron. My husband's great-great grandfather was Edmund Barron who married Mary Keating in 1833. Their son married Mary Hyland from Loughkent but she died 12 days after giving birth to her 2nd child 1878. 

I dont know how private this message is but if you think the above information is relevant I would be pleased to share more details going back tho 1801 Edmund Barron,s wedding

Thanks for your reply. My husband is also related to the Barron family, in  New Inn. His father Paddy was born and reared there and he currently has 3 cousins living in the area. I would be very interested in your research. There were 2 Barron families who owned pubs in New Inn but I don't think they were related to each other. One pub is still in existence. I have done some research and on the step family of Edmund Barron in mid 1800s.
