Looking to see if any Curran’s lived here in the 1830’s by the name of Hugh Curran 1833 and Margaret Gilbert 1824 they had 3 sons they might of had more their names Hugh, Frank, George all born in of his sons born in Chicago. There is on the Census in 1880 John Hugh 1818 from Kerry Ireland. I am looking for any information and pictures relatives. We did hear they were quite an unruly bunch used a lot of aliases so thy have been very hard to trace. I loose all info after Hugh Curran 1833.

Curran:
Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie (Church Record TAB) has the church records for aprishes in Co. Kerry. I searched for any Hugh Curran records up to 1860 and did not find any records. There were three Margaret Gilbert baptismal reocrds in 1821, 1823 and 1835. Below is the 1823 record. You will need to see if there are any American records which would show Margaret's parents names.
You can add Hugh and Margaret's story to our XO Chronicles site and possibly someone will see a connection https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…
DNA testing is another option.

I have done the DNA no matches yet on the Curran my path do not talk much or give any information. I am in touch with a descendant on the same path and they also come to a dead end when we get to Ireland. Have no parents for Gilbert it is just a dead end at my end. Thanks for the info I will look.
