I found a Holy Card, (my late Great Aunt kept all the ones she ever got I'm sure as there are lots). for Eliza Magner. She died 7th December 1949 Carrigleagh Shanballymore County Cork aged 98 years. I have heard the surname before but can't place it in my Family Tree. I remember some one with a very similar surname got the Baptism record from the Priest / Church of my Great Grandmother and sent it to Australia for her many years ago as I saw the baptism record.
Just wondering is there some way to look up her death record to get her parents names?? I live in Australia

Maree,
I found her death record, and working backwards from that which shows her daughter, Bridget Burns, was present at her death, I came up with the following records:
her parent's marriage, her birth, and her marriage....all records are attached. Her mother was Elizabeth Fleming and her father was John Magner.

Maree,
I wasn't clear, as I see you are asking about Elizabeth's parent's names....her marriage record shows that her father was Edward.

Maree,
Using the information Carolyn provided, I found Elizabeth's baptism record on RootsIreland (paid subscription). Elizabeth Fleming was baptized 2 October 1853 in Ballinguile, Buttevant, Cork. Her parents were Edward/ Edmond Fleming and Bridget McCarthy. They had 10 children. Edward and Bridget were married in 1850 in Ballyhea, Cork.

Maree,
Elizabeth connects back to your great grandmother Minnie Fleming who you inquired about earlier this month. They were sisters.

Maree,
Just a heads up, in case you are not aware....the site irishgenealogy.ie from where I provided the above records, also holds records for county Cork, but not from the RC parishes of Ballyhea (where they were married) nor Buttevant (where their children were born). So, if you are searching for records further back, you will need a subscription to Roots Ireland. On Roots Ireland, for their children's baptisms, it shows that they lived in the town land of Ballinguile, Buttevant. Ballyhea baptism records go back to 1809, and Buttevant goes back to 1814, so you might be able to find more records. The two RC parishes are separated by the RC parish of Liscarroll. Could be that Bridget was from Ballyhea, and Edward/Edmond from Buttevant.

Carolyn
