Hello!
I am currently researching all my ancestors from Ireland (mostly Irish on each side so lots of fun research).
I really would like to find as much information on my ancestors as possible.
I have put together most of my family tree on ancestory, and now sent in a DNA test.
I would like to live on the same land as well as visit first for a few months.
Any help with any information would be so greatly appreciated!
Here is a brief of the information I've collected.
My Great Grandfather - John J Griffin Jr. Was born April 21, 1905 in Kilmaley, Clare. John Jack Griffin (1862-1948) and Mary Anne Griffin ( 1875-1955).
John J Griffin Jr immigrated to New York on August 19th 1929. He married Rose M. Tarpey ( born February 22, 1909) on July20th , 1938. They had one son, Kenneth J Griffin born in the Bronx 1939.
Thank you again , from a proud Griff

Hello Alexis,
If you have not looked at the civil birth, marriage, and death records at Irishgenealogy.ie, you should be able to find records for your family there starting in 1864.
RootsIreland.ie is another great source for Irish records.
Also, GriffithsValuation, which is available at askaboutireland.
If you have any questions, please contact me at glanvil3@aol.com.

Alexis, Your family is little more recent than mine, but I look at every possibility. I have been stuck for over 25 years with my gr gr grandmother Ellen Torpey of Griffin b- about 1838 Ire.d- 1899 PA USA, married Charles Ed Ralph Mason b- abt 1838 Ire. 1 marriage record of first child John Mason b- abt 1853 NY/or NJ list mother as Ellen Griffin. Death record of my gr grandmother Mary Roosa Mason b- 1858 PA-d -1928 Bath Steuben NY list mother as Ellen Torpy. Other surnames married to their children include, Kane, Kelly, Herrington/Harrington, Horton, Simonds.
Your post got my attention Griffin/ Tarpey. Do you think we have possible link here Griffin/ Torpey/Tarpey/ Torpy.
Thank you, Dorothy R
