I read your very interesting story of your family and the Golden Empire.

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for the marriage record and the baptismal records for the children but got no record. By the way, Boyle records are available on Roots Ireland back to the late 1700s. My guess is that they were from an area maybe ten -twenty miles away from Boyle but most immigrants told people they were from the "big town" (in this case Boyle) rather than using the small townland where they came from.

There is an RC parish just to the south of Boyle called Ballinameen and baptismal records for that parish start in November 1859. Possibly they lived near that church which explains not finding reocrds. The other possibility was their religion. I assume Roman Catholic but if they were Church of Ireland (Boyle C of I records are on Roots Ireland) many parishes do not have records back to the 1840s/1850s.
