Lived in Killaspuglonane for a short while in the early 70s. Mickey was my farmer neighbor and the Murray's lived down the road. Often went to Doolan in an old ambulance with the English people who lived in the Pink House. Rory was "The King of Doolan." Wonderful times.

Thank you for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board. You sound as if you have very fond memories of Killaspuglonane!
It is is still there, but there are changes. Many new houses have been built due to the summer visitors to Lahinch, and with the Irish Open being played at Lahinch next year, there are bound to be a lot more visitors to the area.
As you may know, Knute Skinner, the author lives in the area. There is an active historical society in North Clare, and you might consider contacting them if you are looking for a particular person.
