Hi
I added my great great grandmother as an ancestor in Clonagam which is fine as she came from the Curraghmore Estate and was baptised, married and her first born baptised at Portlaw
Many generations are buried in the Clonagam Chrichyard with a few up at St Patrick's in Portlaw.
What about the surrounding areas like Ballyquin, Carrickbeg, Guilcagh, Kilmedean etc etc Will there be sections for them or should we continue to use the Clonagam for everything in this area?
The reason I'm asking is i have some questions re the some of the family who never left. Those who didn't work on Curraghmore farmed at Ballyquin, Knocknachrohy, Bealough and Ballycahane.
Cheers
Phillippa

Phillippa:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
We do have parish pages for Guilcagh parish and Kilmeadan parish.
Generally our parish pages are based on the civil parish structure but we do have some parish pages for Catholic parishes. As you noticed, we do not have a parish page for the RC parish of Carrickbeg. I would use the appropriate civil parish page : Dysert, Kilmoleran or Kilsheelan.
As far as I can see, there is no Ballyquin civil parish or RC parish.
Let us know if you need additional assistance with your ancestors.

Thank you Roger you help is much appreciated. It seems the common thread for my ancestors and their numerous realtions was working for, or farming land that belonged to, the various Marquis of Waterford.

Hi Phillippa:
What Roger is replied is correct.
However, you can also edit your XO Chronicle post to include other parishes.
If you have any difficulties doing so, please let me know.
All the best,
Jane.
