I have been searching time and time again for John Daly. born in Kerry county about 1856-1858. I no absoultely nothing about his life and family in Ireland. Nor do I know when he came to the US. I do know he married Anne Shanahan 1883 in Chicago, IL USA. I have found information on Anne, except for her Birth & Baptism, but I believe I have her connected to the correct family in Ireland. The family of Joseph Shanahan and Bridget Walsh. John however, I have nothing. His death certificate say's he was born August 18, year can be anywhere from 1856-1858 possibly before 1856 or after 1858. I thought I knew what Parish he was from, but now I have my doubts. Death certificate says his fathers name was Daniel, that however could be misinformation. My great grandmother may not have known her grandparents names. She made the mistake of thinking her mother's maiden name was Donohue, that error was due to fact her mother (Anne) passed when she was just an infant. She had contact with her mothers sister Ellen (Nellie) Shanahan Donohue until the late 1920's so she put down Donohue as mother's maiden name. I only know John was from county Kerry, I don't even know how to begin going Parish by Parish. Is there an online list of Parishes that I can search. He nor Anne is listed in the Irish genealogy site. Though I found all of Anne's siblings B & B. I think John and Anne were just born in a time frame 1850-1864 that is not online. Can someone direct me to online Kerry parishes???. I know it will take a lot of time, but I really would like to know about his family.
