I am researching my great grandmother, Julia Feighery. her surname has been spelt various ways - Feeherry, Fickery etc but I think Feighery may be correct. She was born in Co Clare in 1843 and emigrated to Australia as a single orphan girl, and married in Victoria Austrakia in 1862. She gave her parents names as James Feighery and Catherine Carty.
The 1901 census lists a few Feighery names in the Parish of Ruan, so I am thinking that may be where she was from.
I am trying to find out where in Co Clare she was born and what ship she came to Australia on.
