Looking for McGuires

My name is Marty Maguire from Bellerose Village, New York. I am the great Grandson of Michael McGuire who was born in Caltra,County Galway in September 1833. His father's name was Patrick McGuire and his mother's name was Mary Moriarty. They had at least two other children that I know of, Cathrine and Ellen McGuire. From the one record I found in NY,they emigrated to NY in November 1844. Attached is a land record from the Caltra area which names Patrick McGuire as having land in 1833 but I have no idea if this is the same man as my family. Michael McGuire was a member of Thomas Francis Meagher's Irish Brigade during the American Civil war of which I am very proud.I visited Caltra in 2000 but could find no McGuire relatives as the Church records had been destroyed in a church fire as I was informed.

Is there any way you could help me find relatives or any futher information about the McGuire family from that time? I will be visiting again in April 2018.

Thank you for any information you might provide. For some unknown reason my Great Grandfather changed the family name to Maguire from McGuire after the civil war.
