Looking for information on marriage, children and deaths of John and Mary McCarthy. Her maiden name was Ryan.1911 census lists them as living in Bunglasha.
Children listed on census were Margaret, Jeremiah, Timothy, Ellen, Catherine, Denis, Patrick, Nora, Hannie, and Michael.
There was also another daughter Mary (she was born around 1884). Ellen or Ellen Maria born July 1895.
Other children who died were Thomas, Michael, James, Ellen, William.

John and Mary were married on January 22, 1878. John's father was Thomas and Mary's father was James. The McCarthys were from Toor townland and the Ryans from Meenanare townland.
I can account for 14 of the 18 children. There were ten children listed in the 1911 census. There were two more in the 1901 census that were not listed in 1911-- John age 13 in 1901 and Tom age 8 in 1901. I also found baptismal records for a Thomas in 1878 (who likely died young) and a Mary in 1880 who died young or was not in the household in 1901. That leaves four more. The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has civil birth record images from 1864-1916 but there are many McCarthy birth records in the Listowel registration district. You will have to search and go thru all the records looking for birth records for the four other children. I also looked for death records for John and Mary. I did not see a good lead where the person died in Bunglasha but I suggest you look thru all the John McCarthy and Mary McCarthy death records from 1911 on to see if you see a good lead.

Mary died January 21, 1931 at age 64. her son Timothy was the informant. She was a widow.
No luck finding John.
