My great grandfather b 1834, WILLIAM MORRISSEY. His parents JOHN and MARY COLEMAN. There were 8 children. His sister MARY married into the DIGGINS family. Parents and brothers MICHAEL and EDMUND moved to the Scart area, County Killkeny. MARY and mother MARY COLEMAN MORRISSEY died in the Woodstown area.

Boys, DANIEL, PATRICK and WILLIAM emigrated to America 1853-1855. PATRICKS'S records show he sailed from Waterford on the ship GEORGINA, that ship's manifest found. Brother MICHAEL emigrated later, 1868. His marriage and children's birth recorded in Sliverue, County Kilkenny.

They arrived in Boston and/or NYC and traveled to the Albany NY area where they stayed, at separate times, for different periods of time. By 1856 3 of the boys were in Elkhorn Wisconsin. The forth not coming to the US until 1868.
