i am also looking (have hit brick wall) for marriage and Deaths of Patrick O’Loughlin and Bridget Woods approx 1866-67 with flu. Their deaths were within short time of each other. They left their young children Mary E O’Loughlin, Kathleen Annie (Known as Annie)O’Loughlin B21st May 1861 , Beatrice and James O’Loughlin. Not sure if another son. Granny McCann revered the young children. Thank you

Dear Lyn:
I did not find any civil death reference to a Patrick O'Loughlin who died in 1866-67 even searching from 1864-1870, but I did find a death reference to Bridget Loughlin from Ennistymon Registration District who died in 1866 aged 45. That record is not up on the Irish Genealogy website yet, but it can be ordered online. The cost of a certificate is €4. You can order online through this link:
https://certificatespublic-webapp-prod.azurewebsites.net/Certs/ApplicantDetails
You will see that the Death Certificate has 2 choices: Short is €4 and long is €20.
If you have any difficulties, please let me know.
Unfortunately, you will not find a marriage record for Patrick and Bridget as the registers only begin in 1870. There is an earlier register, but that is unavailable to view. I would recommend that you write directly to the parish office with information (as much as possible) to see if they will give this information to you. Their email address is: http://ennistymon@parishes.galwaydiocese.ie
Let me know how you get on and if I can assist further, I will try to do so.
All the best,
Jane

Dear Jane Halloran Ryan,
Thank you for your assistance, this is very exciting, l would like to order a photocopy of Bridget O’Loughlins ((née Woods) Death certificate.
I am wondering if there is a marriage certificate for Mary E. O’Loughlin and James Farley. l saw on a USA census they were married in Northern Ireland. James Farley (Born in New York) was abt 15 yrs older than Mary E O’Loughlin. I believe she married young abt 14-16 yrs a much older James Farley, before they came to Australia .
Thanks again for your assistance, Lynette Peucker

PS they were married abt 1866- 1870, and realised l didn’t add a date of marriage, l note registering didn’t start till 1870. Might be worth a look. Thank you so very much. My Mother is 95 yrs in November, would love to know as much as possible.
Thank you again ......Lynette

Hi Lynette:
I have checked both for a James Farley and for a Mary O'Loughlin (with spelling variants) for a civil marriage record in Ireland, but I have not found one.
I wonder if they were married in the US before they emigrated to Australia. As to being married in Ennistymon before 1870, you are correct that the marriage register is not available, but there would have been a civil record as Civil Registration begin in 1864.
What record did you have that showed that they had married in Northern Ireland? You can screenshot it here if you like and I will see what I can do.
Follow the link that I gave you previously to get the civil death record and we can take it from there.
All the best,
Jane
