Many thanksHi, my great great grandfather Timothy O’Neill was born Kilfenora in 1808. He enlisted 18th Irish Regiment of Foot in Cork in 1826 & served till 1846. Returning home, he married Johanna Considine (daughter of James Considine & Bridget Carroll) in Cratloe 1848. They went to the Falklands Islands in 1849 & returned in 1858. Their youngest child Elizabeth was baptised Parteen in 1860.  They seemed to have settled eventually at Blackwater where Timothy died 1889 & Johanna in 1895. The children all migrated to Australia in the mid 1870’s, and 3 went on to America.  Is there any way of knowing where the family may have lived on return from the Falklands, how much any army pension may have been to live on?
