Hi Col,
These records are correct as my grandmother name was Flaherty and Patrick Roche lived with my forebears.
The Flaherty went to America and were never heard of or from again. My family went to London in the 1940's. My father was Charles who died on August 25 1965 once the link was broken the others followed Bridget Kelly, William Byrne,Kathleen Wall, and most of their siblings are buried in Kensal Green Cemetery in London.
My Uncle Paddy (Patrick) died on the 24th November 1916 on the battlefield in France/Belgium and is buried in Ypres Belgium. I celebrated his 100th anniversary in Ypres in 2016, then went to New Ross for memories of my youth. Unfortunately whilst away my sister Maureen passed away in Brisbane, Australia. As children we were sent to New Ross during the English school holidays most years and the memories still flow. My wife and I are planning a three month stay in and around New Ross later this year.
Thank you so much for your efforts in finding these records.
Kind regards
Pat

Hi Pat,
I am also looking for a Patrick Byrne. My great grandmothers name was Lucy Byrne-Purcell-Littlefair. She was one of ten or eleven children and grew up in BallyMitty County Wexford with her brother and grandparents (5 siblings left for US and were never heard from again). She married Dan Purcell who died in WW1. She died at age 47, in 1939.
Do you think there is any connection to your family here?
Looking for (Byrne, Purcell, Littlefair, Crosby)

Also: My grandmothers name was Lucy Purcell-Littlefair-Crosby. She had a brother Dan who served in WW2, and died in a motorcycle accident in England 1946. She married Tom Littlefair, and had Leone, Louise, Pauline and Ronald (who died at 3 months). She moved Leone and Louise to Ireland to stay with Aunt and Uncle Polly and Pat (Byrne?) in Ballymitty in 1946, and Pauline to Dublin with Aunt Mary and Uncle Willie. The three daughters were left in a convent boardinghouse and Lucy brought her (4th child) son Dan (of Charles Sylvester Crosby) to the US in 1948.
Looking for (Byrne, Purcell, Littlefair, Crosby)
