Please repeat your response regarding occupier evolution as recorded in the revision books in Dublin. What office are the books located in and when are the records scheduled to be online? Thanks

Kelly,
The reply I posted previously has been deleted (not by me) and I don’t have a copy. However the records you are looking for are in the Valuation Office in Dublin. I do not know when they may be put on-line but hopefully they can tell you that. In the meantime they will do a look up for you but there may be a fee.

They’ll need the name of the townland, county & parish plus the property number in Griffiths and the plotholder’s name. The records cover the period from the date of the primary valuation through to about 1930. Changes are shown in coloured ink. (Different colour for each year). The year is shown in the observations column. There were a series of books, each covering about 10 years.
I have again attached a sample page to give you an idea of what the Revision records contain.

Thanks Elwyn, I unwittingly deleted your first reply, thinking I posted my message twice. Kelly

Hello Geraldine, this link https://www.valoff.ie/en/archive-research/ should get you started. In the genealogy area of their website it explains that many of the property revision records are digitized now, but only to be viewed in the Valuation Office. Kelly
