Any information/help greatly appreciated. I have 3 sets of Gr Gr Grandparents from Ireland, 2 of which migrated to Australia.
Right now, I'm trying to solve the riddle of my Paternal Gr Gr Grandparents Richard Marnell, who married Anastasia Cullinan. Both Richard and Anastasia were born in Tipperary, Ireland.
Richard Marnell born circa 1814 in Thurles, Tipperary, Ireland. His marriage certificate states his Parents as James Marnell and Ann Walsh. He was baptised 6 May 1816 Gortfree (Gortfrea), Tipperary, Ireland. I have his residence in 1853 as Ballingarry, Tipperary, Ireland. He migrated to Victoria Australia circa 1855. On his Death certificate though, his Father was listed as Michael Marnell (not James). He died in Rosedale, Victoria, Australia 11th April 1885.
Anastasia (Anastatia) Cullinan born 1839 Tipperary, Ireland. Her marriage certificate states her Parents as Michael Cullinan (Cullinane) and Mary Morris. Anastasia migrated to Australia (when unknown), but married Richard Marnell in 3rd Nov 1860 in Melbourne, Australia. Anastasia is becoming more of a mystery than Richard at this stage.
Any information/help on either family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Charmaine Moss.

Hi Miriam,
Thank you so much for the reply. I will certainly follow up. I'm now on Ancestry again, so I will make contact with Chris Cullen, you never know. Any lead is a good lead at this stage. In Anastasia's case, the name of her Mother as 'Morris' could very well have been Morrisey. I know hand written records are sometimes 'as close as' what the record taker hears. Thank you again for your suggestions.
Charmaine.
