All I know of Roger KANE is that he was born about 1820 according to 1861 census of Bathurst NB, Canada and was born in Co Kerry according to his gravestone in 1892 same place.
He was married in 1857 in Bathurst, the first time I have any record of him. Children: Honora, Ann, Mary Ann, Catherine, John Arthur Bryan, Alexander, Bridget, Nancy and Manus Roger
I have circumstantial evidence that he may be related to John Kane of Saint John NB, Canada but no proof.
Does anyone have any info that might help me to pin down where he was born in Kerry and/or when he left there for Canada?
Thank you for any help. My personal email is patsy@nbnet.nb.ca

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie and located one small lead on Roger Kane. There was an 1845 narriage in Castleisland RC church and one of the witnesses was a Roger Kean. There were no Roger Kane/Kean baptismal records in Co. Kerry. Castleisland baptismal records start in 1823 so possibly Roger was baptized there before records are available.
