I am researching my ancestor Mary Noonan - Nunan from Newmarket. She was born there to William Noonan and Mary Shea. Baptised 16th September 1854. Godparents John and Mary Connors. She had a brother William born in 1852. Mary Noonan came to Queensland, Australia as a Nursemaid arriving here in 1875. Hoping someone somewhere in Newmarket may know something of this family. Thank you.

In the early 1850s, Griffith's Valuation of Cork lists a William Noonan in Newmarket:

William Nunan and Mary Shea were married February 18 1844 at the Castlemagner RC church. Witnesses Daniel Shea and Edmond Cushin.
Castlemagner RC parish is southeast of Newmarket parish.
Possibly there were other children from bewteen 1844 and 1852 but no records show up on the subscription site Roots Ireland.
