I am trying to find a coroners report for the death of my g.g.grandfather, Michael Ryan Raymond of Glenough, who died on 13th November 1898 (Cashel) of shock, resulting from severe accident? He was born in 1828, and doubled as a farmer and hedge schoolmaster. He hailed from Upperchurch, and was married to two Margaret Ryans, one was Ryan Moneen and the other Ryan Sean Eamon. Descendents abound in the Glenough area, and some of the family also emigrated to US and Australia. His parents were Cornelius Ryan b. 1796, and Catherine Kelly, and his grand parents were Michael Ryan and Johanna Kilfoyle.
Any information or questions would be gladly received.

I searched on the subscription site FindMyPast but did not locate a coroner's report. Do you have a copy of the civil death record? I searched on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie but could not find a record.
As an aside, I found a Petty Sessions record and it appears that Ryan Raymond was convicted of assault in 1872 and served three months in the prison in Nenagh.

Thank you for going to all that trouble. I am at very early stages with this, so have not got a death cert yet. The petty sessions you mentioned in 1972, was it Michael Ryan (Raymond)? Raymond was the nick name, so not even sure at what stage it was appended to his name. Does the petty sessions give an address (he would have been living in Glenough at that stage), or name the injured party? Again, many thanks for your help.

One of our volunteers, Shane Wilson, found the civil death record https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…; You will likely have to log in to the site.The record was registered in February 1899 and indicates based on information from the coroner, the injuries were accidental. I don't think you will find the actual coroner's report.
Shane also found a 1900 record from the Probate Calendar for your ancestor. See the last record on the left hand side of the image. http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/reels/cwa/005014911/005014…
He was listed from Toher which I could not find Toher on the official townland listings. The closest townland in Clonoulty civil parish would be Toragh.
I will look for the 1872 Petty Sessions record.

The link below probably won't work because I assume you don't have a subscription to Find My Past. The prison data showed that Michael Ginnane from Rusheen and Ryan Raymond from Glennagh got ten days ( I know I indicated three months earlier but it was ten days in June 1872) for a violent assault on Thomas Meagher. Not sure if this is the same person.
