Hi everyone from NZ...I am trying to trace my Irish roots. My GG Granmother's name was Annie Grace McMahon.She was also known as Ellie or Elle. She was born in Killarney about 1861 to parents William McMahon and mother Mary Grace Cokly ? or similar name. On a birth certificate of one of Annie's children is also the name Sheehy as a maiden name but Im unsure how this fits in....If anyone can enlighten me any futher on Annie it would be greatly appreciated.

No luck searching for Annie Grace McMahon. I looked on two sites: the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie which has Co. Kerry church records and the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not locate any McMahon baptismal records where the father was William and the maiden name of the mother was either Coakley or Sheehy. I searched for all of Ireland.
Here is a link to the 19th century parish register for Killarney church https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0675 You may want to scan the register around 1860 to see if you can find some leads.

Hi Roger...many thanks for your efforts on my search. I have tried once before but thought I might have been lucky this time with about more info re parents names...back to the drawing board so to speak(once I've watched the All Blacks n Irish at rugby World Cup) many thanks again
