  • It's not a common name in Ireland. There isn't anyone of that surname in Ireland in the 1901 census. Perhaps you can tell us why you think your ancestor may have lived in Ireland, with some dates and their full name?

  • I've been doing my family tree .my daughter bought me d n a kit for mothers day! Obviously with a name like O'Rourke i knew I had a strong Irish background. However it turns out my mothers side also originated in Ireland. The name Delitch is in actual fact the Christian name and Woods is the surname I've found he was born around 1830 in Ireland but can't narrow it any further at present. Another thing which surprised me is my father's family originate from Belfast and not Dublin as I had thought. I found my dad's grandfather's army signing up papers. 41yrs old and 4ft 11 1\2 inches tall. It's amazing the information. I also sent the grandsons of my dad's half brother pictures of their granddad memorial from when he was killed in first world war and they live in canada!

  • I can't even find Delitch as a surname anywhere. When I do searches online it doesn't appear to belong to any nation or country .I do have it in my tree though as I found it at Ancestory .com
