Hi Everyone,

I’ve traced my maternal ancestors back to Annakissy County Cork where my GGG Grandfather John Hegarty Birn 1833 DIED 03/04/1900 married Mary Ann O’Farrell at Parish of Annakissy Cloyne on 25/03/1850. Mary Ann passed 31/07/1898 aged 60.
Im visiting Cork on 25-26 of September 2024. Would really like to visit the parish and view any records of John Hegarty and Mary Ann Farrell and families.
do I make an appointment with someone? Is it possible to speak to someone beforehand?
thanks in advance for any assistance

warm regards Rosemary

  • Rosemary:

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and the free site irishgenealogy.ie for children of John Hegarty and Mary Anne O'Farrell/Farrell.

    I found three records:

John Hegarty baptized February 10 1861 RC parish Watergrasshill (Ardnageeha) parents John Hegarty and Mary Anne Farrell

Honora Hegarty baptized February 2 1862 RC parish Watergrasshill (Ardnageeha) parents John Hegarty and Mary Anne Farrell

William Hegarty baptized March 8 1863 RC parish Mallow parents John Hegarty and Mary Anne Farrell

I assume there were children born between 1850 and 1861 but I did not locate any additional records.
