Visiting County Longford 2020

Hello, My name is Diane Dunleavy. My husband and I will be making our third trip over to Ireland this coming April. We will be spending a couple of days in Longford County to visit the townlands and cemeteries of my husband's family. His grandfather's last home was in Ballinalee, we have been so fortunate to have visited the townland on our last two trips. We were so excited to have found the tombstone of his maternal great great grandparents, The Flynns located in St. James's Roman Catholic Church/ Clonbroney Church, Drummeel. We are interested in visiting other churchyards and graveyards in the area. His ancestors resided in Lislea, Killasona, Ballinalee. We have visited Granard graveyard, and also the Old Clonbroney graveyard that was so overgrown we were unfortunately unable to read or see many tombstones. Through my research, I know we would like to visit the Cathedral of Saint Mel in Ardagh. I found through my research, ancestors are buried there under the name of Ultagh. Does anyone know if the Cathedral has a map of the churchyard? Who can we contact if necessary prior to our trip. Also if anyone could give me some other churchyard, graveyards we would be able to visit in any of the townlands I have mentioned would be appreciated. Any information regarding the surnames Flynn, Mcmanus, Ultagh, Dunleavy would be appreciated. Any suggestions as to where in the above mentioned townlands we can eat and grab a pint would also be welcome. I would just like to say last year while visiting Ballinalee, the townspeople could not have been any nicer. So many tried to help us to figure out where my husband's grandfather resided according to the 1911 Census. We had another gentleman who we asked directions to Clonbroney Parish and he drove ahead while we followed him directly to the Parish. My husband says he feels such a connection while visiting and we are both looking forward to our trip this coming April.
