Hi, I am trying to trace if there may be any descendants of the Whelans of Kilbane, Broadford, Clare. Looking to make contact. I visited in 1989 and met Danny Whelan who has since passed away. His brother was Benny who is also resting in peace. Any clues would be helpful.

    I am related to the Whelan's of Kilbane on my mum's side of the family.

    And I am related to the Vaughan's of Kilbane on my dad's side.

  • Hi, I'm wondering if these Vaughans are descended from/related to John Vaughan born c 1826 and Mary O'Donnell born c 1821 who married in 1845 in Broadford.They emigrated to Scranton, Philadelphia. Sarah was a sister to my 2xgreat grandfather Michael O'D. Their parents were William O'D and Joan/Jane/Johanna Crowe. Annie O'D
