The Demesne Fairy Village is an enchanted place...
The Fairy Village has an idyllic location in the woodland section of the Demesne and includes a range of magical items for children to explore including a variety of tiny fairy doors sprinkled around the park, a Thatched Cottage and Wishing Well. The little fairy houses were only discovered in 2016. However, research has identified that the Demesne woodland site has been inhabited by mystical creatures for thousands of years.
There is no fee or charge and the fairy trails in Castlerea are open day and night 365 days of the year.
Castlerea demesne (originally part of the Sandford estate) is now enjoyed as a public park.
