I am seeking any information at all about the birth of Rose or Rose Ann O'Connor, her parents and family, where she was born and lived, as well as immigration to Australia around 1866 etc. 

On her marriage certificate June 1867 she is recorded as being 22 years of age and born in Cushendun, Antrim. Her parents were Daniel O'Connor, Farmer and Rose McCaulley.

Estimated year of birth from marriage certificate is 1845 and from death certificate in Oct 1916 age 85 years gives 1831.

Research conducted so far suggests that she may have originated from around Torr Head.

 

Any help at all would be appreciated.

  • Statutory recording of births didn?t start till 1864 so you won?t get a birth cert for Rose. You could search the local RC parish records for her baptism. The attached link shows you what records exist and where copies are kept:
