Timothy Wilson was a freeholder in Ballymacawley in 1820 and John Wilson was occupying his property. Hugh Wilson is listed with him at the same time also with John Wilson as his tenenat. In the 1825 freeholders list Hugh Wilson is still listed but Timothy Wilson no longer appears. His son Thomas Wilson immigrates to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and marries Margaret Jane Wilson daughter of Samuel McCullagh from Cladymore, Kilclooney, Armagh. According to the family story her family did not approve of him which is why they had to leave to get married. In 1854 Sarah Wilson the daugther of Timothy Wilson gets married and lists Ballymacawley as her residence. If anybody has more information about this family in Ballymacawley, Kilclooney, Armagh please contact me.

Neil,
You don’t say what other research you have done on the Wilson family but looking at Griffiths Valuation for 1864, I see 6 Wilson properties listed, occupied by David, Joseph, William, Robert, Michael and William J.
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml
You can follow the respective properties subsequent owners and occupants on the revaluation records, through to 1929:
http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/search_the_archives/val12b.htm
By the 1901 census there are still 3 Wilson households in the townland:

The families were all Presbyterian so you could check the local church records. The two nearest Presbyterian churches appear to be Redrock (records start 1808) and Cladymore (records start 1848). Redrock’s baptisms from 12808 and marriages from 1812 are on-line on the rootsireland site (subscription). Cladymore’s records are not on-line so far as I can tell. There are also copies of both church’s surviving records in PRONI in Belfast but a personal visit is required to access them.
PRONI has this will abstract (the full will is on-line on their site):
The Will of William Wilson late of Ballymacawley County Armagh Farmer who died 21 December 1892 at same place was proved at Armagh by Robert Wilson of Ballymacawley Farmer one of the Executors
Other enquiries you could make would be to check the Registry of Deeds records for leases relating to the Wilson families of Armagh. The originals are in the Registry of Deeds in Dublin with microfilmed copies in PRONI. LDS also have a set of microfilms. You can search by surname or townland, but with a common name like Wilson, I’d search by townland. The records cover 1708 to 1925.
You could also search fro graves. The family may not necessarily be buried in the church they attended, so you might need to try several graveyards. It is also quite common to find Presbyterians buried in Church of Ireland graveyards, so check that too.
