As I am unsure what county the townland of Banbridge falls into and none of the actual records are on line currently that cover this townland I am thus none the wiser.
I an carrying out a One Name Study which is registered with GOONS.
What I have found so far is that the GRIMASON / GRIMISON surname appears to originate from County Armagh and was in the townlands of Ballylisk, Ballyworkan, Claremont, Drumcree, Drumnakelly, Edenderry, Kilmoriarty, Lurgan, Portadown, Shankill, Tandragee,Tullyvallen plus Banbridge in about 1840 and earlier and also mirgrated from County Tyrone to Armagh about 1800.
The Grimesey surname is said to be a corruption of the Grimason surname, this links in with a story within the family about three Brothers, one whom kept the original surname and the other two taking curruptions of the surname.
While on the subject of Surname any Grimshaw family that can trace their family back into Armagh will find that they are in deed a Grimason family.
Proof of the connection between the two surnames in beyound dispute by way of a probated will 1903 and my own Great Grand father still using the Grimason surname as late as 1876 here in New Zealand, then there is the Family of Zacariah Grimason and Elizabeth Grimason formally Fox who migrated to Scotland and took the Grimshaw surname. see http://www.geocities.ws/grimason-nz/Grimshaw_Scotland/names.html

Banbridge Town ( Seapatrick civil parish) is in Co. Down. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banbridge

No other townlands with that spelling.
