I have a Peter Butler married to Annie Hand in Dublin, St Nicholas.
Peter was discribed as Vagus, his parents were Jacobi Butler and Maria Cosgrave of Ballymore Eustace and this is were Peter was born.
At the moment i have three possible chidren to James and Mary, Eliza Butler bap 1 Sep 1822 Griffistown Baltinglass Co Wicklow, John Butler 16 Aug 1824 Bumbo Hall Baltinglass Co Wicklow, Peter Butler 6 Dec 1835 Ballymore Eustace Co Wicklow, not 100% sure yety but this appears to be the Peter of our family

vagus, the secondary meaning from the free online dictionary at: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/vagus
[from Latin vagus wandering] Main meaning is Vagrant. Today we would say homeless.
