My great grandmother Harriet Sophia Jones was born in Holdenstown, Baltinglass in 1843. She converted to Catholicism circa 1863 to marry John Pepper originally from Rathvilly. On her conversion it mentions she is the daughter of John and Susan Jones from Holdenstown.
As there were a lot of John Jones at this time I asked a genealogist to check in to the family and she informed me that Susan Jones died in 1847 and John Jones died in the 1860s and they lie side by side in the Church of Ireland graveyard in Rathvilly. I have been in contact with the rector to see where exactly is the grave and who is buried with them but he is a very busy man.
I have found a John Jones in Holdenstown in Griffiths Valuation and I am wondering if this is my John Jones. I am particularly interested to find out if John is related to Abraham Jones and the Carpenter families in the same area.
If anyone recognises these names I would love to hear from you.

Only seeing this now. Thank you. I have since gone down the DNA route and discovered my Jones's were in fact related to the Carpenter family in Holdenstown.
