I am interested in a George McChesney who appears in a will index at PRONI for Drumhillah in 1807 (Co Cavan, Knockbride Parish). I descend from John McChesney and Amelia Rusk, who belonged to Glaseck Presbyterian Church. I believe the Rusks were from Shercock. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi
Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.
Kind regards,

Hi Cyn, there are still a number of mcChesney families in the area, you could write to Brendan McChesney in Drumhilla, Shercock, Co. Cavan.. There is a Joe Rusk in Galbolie Bailieborough, if you wish to write to him , I dont know if any of them would have a family tree done, but you never know.. Regards Carmel
