Finding Parish buriel records
I am looking for my ancesters buriel records from Knockbride Parish in The Church of Ireland .
Their names where as follows.
Joseph Mahood of County Cavan born 1793 married Mary (Lackey) Mahood she was born 1798 County Cavan according to Ancestry she died in March 1893. Joseph died about 1872.
These were my Great Great Great Grandparents who were prominent farmers in Big Drumhillagh and the farm is located in the area Corlattylannan, Shercock County Cavan currently owned by the Ritchie family and they share the grave plot of the Mahoods at Knockbride Parish.
Although I haver been informed there is no grave marker showing the Mahood name any longer I need someone to help locate that gravesite and verify that my ancesters are in fact at this final resting place.
Thank you
Terry Mahood

Knockbride Church of Ireland burial records, for the years you are interested in, are on the rootsireland site (subscription). There is also a copy in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast, where they are free to view.
Those records may confirm your ancestors are buried there. However finding the site of an unmarked grave may be more difficult. You would need to contact the church and see if anyone there has a graveyard plan. In my experience, if there is one, it may not go back as far as the 1800s. In those days families knew where their family plots were and simply pointed it out to the gravedigger. No paper records were kept. (The gravediggers and many of their clients were illiterate anyway so had no real use for paper records). But you might be lucky and find there is a plan.

Terry:
I looked on Roots and could not locate a record for Joseph or Mary. The only record I found was for a 22 year old Mary Ann Mahood who died in 1891 and was buried in Knockbride C of I church.

Hi Terry:
I'm not sure if we have communicated in the past but I am also researching my mother's family (Mahood). I have information from when my GG-grandparents came to Canada around 1835 (John and Elizabeth Mahood) with their 4 children: Robert; Joseph; Alexander; Isabella. You may have also been in touch with Lewis Mahood in Arizona who did extensive reserarch on the family a number of years ago. I have Church of Ireland Baptism records for the 4 children however never been successful in finding my GG-Grandmother's maiden name. The children were born in Curleck, Knockbride Parish Cavan Ireland. My estimate date of birth of my GG-Grandfather is around 1799. I would be more than pleased to send the document I have been working on if you are interested. Please feel free to contact me at mlschaff@rogers.com if you would like me to email you a copy. Also I was wondring if you were successful on your trip to Ireland last year in locating info on your Mahood. Mary Lou Schaff
