Any help in finding original location in Clare of my family will be greatly appreciated!!
John O'Dea and Honora Liddane, County Clare, have 7 children. All children come to US in pairs starting in 1849. When John dies in Clare, children send for their Honora to join them in US abt 1854/1855.
Children:
Peter (DOB abt 1827) marries Honora Fauls, perhaps in Ireland before coming to US in 1849.
Bridget (abt 1823) John Kelly
Stephen (abt 1831) Bridget Kain
John (abt 1838) Mary O'Conner
Honora (abt 1848) Patrick McElligott
Margaret (abt 1852) Daniel Keane
Mary (abt 1830) Michael Lynch
Peter left first and settled in Watkins Glen, NY area. All other sibs go there but later follow Stephen O'Dea to Winona, MN. Peter and Bridget O'Dea Kelly remain in NY. Honora Liddane O'Dea first shows up in US in 1860 census living with the Kellys. She later moves to MN.
There are so many John O'Deas but not so many Liddanes so perhaps these clues may help.
I see a John O'Dea and a Stephen Liddane listed in the 1827 Tithe Applotment Books in Moveen West ,Moyarta. Neighbors?
A Stephen Liddane (DOB 1834) comes to Winona after military service in Ireland. Why he ended up in Minnesota, I'm not sure. A nephew of Honora? His Irish military records say his parish is Dunaha near Kilkee. His children are born in Ennis. His Wife is Jane Molloney. Patrick, Simon and Thomas Molloney are shown living with Bridget and John Kelly the same time Honora Liddane O'Dea lived there in 1860. Related?
A Catherine and Bridget Liddane came with Peter and Bridget O'Dea on the same ship Southampton in 1852. Nieces of Honora Liddane O'Dea?
Moloney, Liddane and O'Dea are neighbors in Carrownaweelaun in 1855?
Thanks for any ideas or help you can provide!
Pat

I should mention that John was born about 1803 and died about 1854 in Ireland. Honora Liddane O'Dea was born about 1805 and died in Minnesota about 1890. Their son, Stephen is my Great Grandfather. Pat
