Researching my ggrandfather, Michael Moriarty, born 1841 in Ennis Ireland. Married to Ellen Ascroft/Ashcroft, whose parents are Thomas Ascroft/Ashcroft and Alice Thompson.
Michael Moriarty had 5 children as far as I know, Ellen, Alice, Daniel, Thomas and my grandmother Mary Margaret born 1879, Bolton, Lancashire.
Michael's father was Daniel Moriarty born ? 1820 in ? County Clare, Ireland. He married Bridget Flannaga/Flanigan and 2nd wife was Ellen O'Brien. He died in Wigan, Lancashire 1890.

Searching in the Tithe Applotment Books there were 4 Moriarty?s recorded in the parish-no Daniel however
