Hello
My GGG Grandfather Patrick Guthrie lived in Ballyvaughan. His daughter Margaret Guthrie (born c1826) and her sister Mary (born c1812) emigrated to Victoria, Australia. I believe Patrick rented land from Capt. Fras McNamara. Any help in finding family members would be appreciated.

The civil parish is Drumcreehy and here is the 1855 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing which shows a few Guth rie records. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/clare/drumcreehy.htm
I also noticed that there was a Guthrie family headed by Michael Guthrie in the 1901 and 1911 censuses. I think the age in the 1911 census was likely more accurate which puts his year of birth around 1836.
It appears the family was RC. Unfortunately, the records for the parish of Ballyvaughan start in 1854.
