I am tracing the family of Timothy O'connor and Mary Kean.
Some of their children Mary (b 1855), Bridget(b 1857), Martin (b 1859) and Ellen (b 1861) came to Australia (1886) and ssettled in Nth Queensland. Ellen married Patrick Haren 1887 Rockhampton Qld. Patrick also from Clare (Letterkelley but not sure Townland etc) and parents were Terence and Mary Hehir. Thomas, Michael , Terence brothers also came to Australia.
I am fairly sure that Boolynamiscaun is the place these O'Connors lived and were born as it is stated on Ellens history and a birth certificate that I have for her sister Ann , it is shown as "Boulinamiskaun".
My cousin is visiting Ireland next month and I am trying to help them find the family.
Where would be the place to find parish records for Boolynamiscaun or/and any other help or connection for this family please.
Thanks to all

Hi Erin,
Frustratingly there are no records for Clare available to search online!
Clare Heritage and Genealogical Centre Church St Corofin Clare (clareheritage@eircom.net) is probably the best place to start.
The centre has a good website which shows what records they have.
Best regards

Erin:
I checked the 1901 census for Boolymiscaun (only 7 families) and found a Patrick O'Conner family. Living with Patrick was his mother Mary age 74, a widow. I'm guessing that Patrick was likely the oldest son of Timothy and Mary and Mary was still living in 1901. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Clare/Cloonanaha/Boolynamiscaun/1073766/
Looks like Mary died before the 1911 census. Name was O'Connor.

I looked for death index records for Timothy and Mary but did not locate a good lead.

Roger,
Thank you for replying. I also looked at the 1901/1911 census and agree that Patrick is most likely the oldest child of Timothy/Mary. I also could not find any death index for the parents. I don't know why that would be as they would both be before 1921 (I think that is the cut-off date) so would have thought they would be in the register!
I have directed my cousin to Boolynamiscaun and to find the Parish Records which I think would be in INAGH?
Now onto the other side which is Sargint/Sargent - much more tricky.
Thanks for your help. If the findings are correct then I will post the outcome of their visit!
