My LYONS ancestors have been traced to Muingyroogeen townland in Clonmeen civil parish. This townland borders Carragraigue townland in Dromtarriff parish where some of my Lyons held land and where other Lyons families lived. I do not know how closely, if at all, the different families were related but would be very interested in hearing from anyone researching Lyons families in the area.

Have you already done some research using irishgenealogy.ie ( a free site) or another paid site for other Cork records like rootsireland.ie or familysearch.org? You may find that the names of those you seek a connection to can be found as witnesses or sponsors on marriage and baptismal records.
