John O'Shaughnessy and Ellen Finucane lived in Clare in the mid 19th Century. John was a tailor. Ellen and her 5 sons emigrated to Montreal city, Quebec Province, Canada ca 1847. We do not know if John did. A 6th son, my great grandfather, was born in Montreal in 1848. He returned to Clare in the summer of 1888 to search for his relatives. We know that his siblings once lived in Coolmeen. We would like to know more about the family. Ed O'Shaughnessy

I was once directed to a URL which linked a record of something - tax, tithe? - to a location on a 19th C map. I cannot find that URL now. Can someone direct me to it?
I'm visiting Ireland in a month and would like to get as close as I can to the locality to where my great great grandparents- John O'Shaughnessy & Ellen Finucane- lived in Clare in 1847.
Thanks.
