Hi Dorothy,
Roots Ireland - www.rootsireland.ie - Subscription Site - has a record of the marriage of George Bethill and Maria Ryan (whose name may have been (O'Brien Ryan) in Newport, Co. Tipperary on August 10th 1806. They are recorded as Roman Catholic. By 1811 they are recorded in Cratloe, Co. Clare where their children were baptised.
Access to those records www.nli.ie - Catholic Baptisms - Free Site
There were a number of families with the name "Bethel" in Counties Clare, Limerick and Tipperary - both Roman Catholic and Church of Ireland.
Nothing found in relation to the burial place of Catherine Bethel.

Hi Dorothy, Have you checked the Ballysheen Cemetery, adjacent to the ruins of St Finaghty Church?! It is in the parish of Kilfinaghta.

Hi Dorothy:
Catherine would most likely have been buried in a local graveyard in Sixmilebridge. Those headstones have been transcribed, but she may not have had a headstone. You can view them on the Clare Library website at this link:
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/places/kilfinaghty.htm
It may be worthwhile to contact the parish secretary in Sixmilebridge to see if there is any notation on the register for deaths. The office email is here: office@sixmilebridgeparish.ie
I wonder if the family worked at Mount Ievers as she was noted as a wife of a labourer. This family is in the 1901 Census living in Ieverstown as farmers. It would seem that they should be buried locally. I'm going to contact a local person now who I know and ask about this family. I will reply on this thread when I hear back from them.
All the best,
Jane

Hi Dorothy:
I have found some information for you which if you email me directly at: jhalloranryan@irelandxo.com, I can expand on this.
The Bethell family is no longer in Sixmilebridge (and Ieverstown), but the farm is still there and farmed by another family.
All the best,
Jane
