Another option might be to place a letter to the editor of the Clare Champion requesting contact with any crowleys from Kilmaley.  People are fairly vigilant about reading the editorial pages and this may yield some results for you.

I have visited my ancestral home in Carncreagh and was put in contact with the only Crowley now living there.  Afraid to say had no real interest in family research but is related to my Crowleys'.   I am hoping some of the American (Chicago)side of the family may view this posting and get in contact.  I have tried writing but have had no reply.
