I am hoping to find a marriage record or births for a female Walsh marrying a male Meere in the areas near Ballylean. They had a daughter MariaMeere in 1854. I am sorry I do not have Christian names or more information. I have a lot of information for Maria/Mary Meere's married life after 1876. I am trying to find out who her parents and siblings were.

Any help would be appreciated. Beth

There are very few Co. Clare RC records online at present. If the family was from Kilchreest civil parish then the likely RC parish is Clondegad. The records for this parish start around 1846 and they are not  online.

Later this summer the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would look for the Clondegad records at that time.

  • When those records come online people are going to go just crazy for them. I'm so excited. I just ordered a death cert from England for the first time. I'm determined to crack this Walsh family brick wall.

  • Now that I have the marriage record for Maria Meere her father was Patt Myers from Ballylean. Now to find Maria's mother's name and more about her siblings.

  • Can anyone help with a marriage record for Patt Myer/Meere from Ballylean? He was gathering children in the mid 1850's. I have not found it yet. Am wondering if I overlooked it.

  • The marriage for Maria and husband John Meade was in Kilmihil Parish in March 1876.
