Hi Melissa,
Thanks again for your message.
Queenstown is known as Cobh today.
You could try looking at church records for the parish to see if you can find any more information on the Quinns. Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. It also shows you where copies of the records are available. For Cobh parish, follow this link:
As you can see from the above link Mallow Heritage Centre have copies available. Here is their email if you would like to email them, however please note that a fee may apply:mallowheritagecentre@gmail.com
Civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office. Here are their contact details:

Cobh is a Roman Catholic parish, that encompasses two civil parishes; Clonmel and Templerobin. These civil parish divisions are what are mostly used in historic documents such as the land records. I did a search for Quinn?s in one such record called Griffith?s Valuation (1848-64). In Clonmel, there was one Quinn recorded:
In Templerobin there was also one:
Do any of these names seem familiar?
You could also try searching in the earlier land record called the Tithe Applotment Books(1823-38) available here:

You could also search the 1901/1911 census records to see if there are any Quinns in the area at the time:

Have you tried looking into his emigration? Sometimes more infomation can be found at the port of arrival rather than that of departure. For information on US immigration records check http://www.archives.gov/research/immigration/
