My mother was Mary Jane O'Brien b. 26 May 1926 Ruan,Ennis, Clare. I have NO ides who her parents were All I know is that she had the following siblings named: James, Dilly (?), Margaret, Kathleen, Sheila, Anastasia. Anastasia & 1 other died of consumption.
Mum came to Eng & married Thomas Hayden (22/02/1911) of Kilkenny.
All I know of him is that his parents were Patrick & Elizabeth At least that is more than I know of mums family. Mum died in London on November 7, 1982

I found a birth index record for a Mary Jane O'Brien in the Corrofin registration district. The townland of Ruan Commons is in the Corrofin district. You may want to write to the GRO www.groireland.ie to get a copy of this record. Fill out their form, provide the registration district, quarter/year of registration, volume and page number. The birth record should show the parents names.
