I am searching for information about John Doyle-born 1877.
His parents were John (1840-1899) and Hannah (maiden name unknown) Doyle. John emigrated to the US in 1901 and died in 1941 in Nebraska U.S. He left many siblings in Enniscorthy. We believe their names were Daniel,, Ellen, James, Margaret, Martha, Richard, and Thomas.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to where I might find birth, marriage, baptismal, death, cemeteries, etc. to look for info of ancestors or descendants of John and Hannah Doyle. They were my great- grandparents and John Doyle (married to Katie Whalen in Nebraska was my grandfather.)
I am planning a trip to Ireland and any tips would help.
Thank you. Michael Doyle

Dear Michael
Some of the sibling names you mentioned above are recorded on the 1901 Census, at that time Hannah (if it is the correct family) was a widow aged 53 and they lived at Kilcorral. I can't see an entry for Hannah in 1911.

I couldn't find any record of a John born to a John Doyle and Hannah on Roots Ireland (www.rootsireland.ie).
The only children listed with these parents were a Hannah Elizabeth in Co. Wicklow, a Joseph. Co. Dublin and a Thomas, Co. Laois.
It is strange given the year of birth that they are not there. There are 6 matches for a John Doyle married to a Hannah (unknown maiden name) between 1823 and 1875. Maybe if you took a look on that website you might find out more or be able to pick out the correct marriage if it is in fact there. I don't know an awful lot about Wexford as I'm in Galway. Do you have any other info that we could use to narrow the search?
As an aside there is a John Doyle listed on the Griffith's Valuation in 1853
There is also a John Doyle in 1833 on the Tithe Applotment Books

Hope this helps
