During WWI Clare men Michael McGee and Patrick McGee were killed. Michael was born and lived at Scarriff and was the son of Michael and Johanna McGee of Killaloe. He died in April 1915, age 36. Private Patrick McGee was born and lived at Killaloe and he was born and lived there. He died 28 April 1916 at Loos, France. Both were members of the Royal Munster Fusileers, 1st. Battalion.
I believe these men may be long lost relatives of mine and that they were descendants of McGhees "invited" by Mr. Cromwell to leave Tyrone and relocate to Clare or Connaught. If anyone could help me locate relatives of either or both of these men I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Bill

Dear Bill:
Many thanks for your query to Ireland Reaching Out.
There may be family relatives still in the area. I will check this out locally for you and revert.
The family that you are referring to is enumerated in the 1911 Census at the link below:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Clare/Killaloe/The_Green/367712/.
Michael McGee was listed as living in Scariff in the 1901 & 1911 Census.
In the 1901 Census, this appears to be him:
