I am looking for information on Thomas Watson, father of Margaret and Mary (who emigrated to South Australia on the "Lady Macdonald" from Plymouth, arriving April 1855). He is in Griffiths Valuation, from Ballyvannen.

You have posted in this parish and also in a parish in Co. Galway. Do you know where Thomas was from or are you just looking at the Griffiths? Were they RC?

My information comes from Mary Watson (my Gt Gt Grandmother born ~ 1837) and her sister Margaret emigrating on the Lady Macdonald in 1855 and naming her home as Galway. However, there is family information about Ballyvaughan (Clare? Tipperary?). I have only found 2 Thomas Watsons in the Griffiths Valuation which seem to fit - Ballyvannan and Ballynakill.
