Dear John:
Many thanks for your query to Ireland Reaching Out.
I will take a look for you in the Tulla parish registers. As the birth is pre-1864, it is not always possible to get an entry online. If you have further information, you may email me at: tulla@irelandxo.com
Kind regards,
Jane.

Yes, thanks.
I have also found on the 'clarelibrary' site, under RC Baptisms for O'Callaghans Mills, a possible sister "Mary O'Halloran" born to Patrick and Catherine (nee Kelly) in 1840. Only odd but feasible thing is that my Catherine was born c1858 which is 18 years later.
My Catherine emigrated to New Zealand and married Timothy Crowley. The odd thing is that she spoke fluent French and would amuse the children with it! I understand that there were some famous O'Hallorans who spent time in France and wonder if there may be some link. Is it normal for an irishwoman from Clare to speak fluent French?
Thanks
