Hello, does anyone know if there are any records available online of the evictions near Ardagh . The estate involved was probably the Ponsonby estate.
Thanks,
Maria

Maria:
I found information on the evictions on the Ponsonby estate ( during the 1880s) in Charpter VIII. Looks for a February 27th article. There may be more.

My Walsh ancestors were on the Lord Ponsonby Estate. I have attached a copy of the valuation. I don't understand it, though. I guess that my ancestor Michael Walsh and his brother Maurice Walsh were lessees to Lord Ponsonby and lessors (sub-lease?) to others.
Their father was Robert Walsh and I have tried to search records on him. Michael Walsh in the valuation is my great-great-grandfather.
