Hello! I’m hoping to find some help or some advice on where to go about this…
My 3x great-grandmother was a landscape artist and I’ve been looking all over the internet to try and track down her artwork.
I’m from the US, so I’m not able to visit Fermoy to track any of this down just yet.
Her name was Elizabeth Charlotte Crosse, her maiden name was Curtis. She may have went by Lizzie as well. She was born in 1851 and passed in 1885. She was born and raised in Fermoy, Cork and she raised her family in Clondulane.
I’m not sure if she sold paintings or if they may have ended up in a consignment store, but if any of her paintings may exist, I’d love to see it.
If anyone knows anything that may help me in my search, I’d be very grateful!!

Hi, why not contact the local history department at the Fermoy library?

Hi, You can but I don't think you would have any success. There isn't really a local history department at the library. They do have some local history books. Best wishes, Kieran

Hi,
No luck with the paintings yet, but there are a couple of other people I will ask. In the meantime, see this link for a list of staff in 1911 https://niallbrn.wordpress.com/2018/12/09/clondulane-flour-mill/. I suspect this was taken from the 1911 census records. I am still trying to find if there are other staff records.
